I strongly oppose this petition. This petition is not about safety and protection. It is about spreading hateful rhetoric and discriminating against people who have a hard enough life already. Calling trans persons "pretenders" is proof that this is a discriminatory and charged political gambit. Use of that language also makes this not a matter of public health and safety; to the contrary its proof that this is not a real threat. If petitioners cannot even use proper biological terms, it is clearly beneath this department to base policy decisions in hateful rhetoric alone.

Statistically speaking, authority figures in the lives of female athletes are far more likely to harm young girls than any trans person. Just look at Larry Nassar, the Catholic Church or recent convictions of teachers engaging in inappropriate relationships with students.

I would rather the Department of Health focus on teaching young girls about menstruation and safe sex than fake harm of people chosing to be who they are.
