Rule is not based in reality. Clear reactionary and unnecessary waste of time.

This petition is simply a reactionary piece with the intent of marginalizing an already marginalized group. There is no scientific or anecdotal evidence to suggest that this rule is necessary or would even lead to it's stated desired outcome. There are no recorded cases of "biological males pretending to be females with the intent of gaining access to female-only spaces." And if such cases were to arise, they would be easily handled by existing laws against sexual assault. This rule is also unenforceable as the process of verifying who is and isn't biologically female is not outlined, and any "genital inspections" would simply lead to an environment rife for sexual assault even more so than under current existing rules. It is clear the petitioners only serve to push a divisive agenda that only serves to waste time and resources as they cannot name one example of a case where a "biological male" caused harm to "biological females" and existing laws were insufficient for handling the issue.

With that, it's time to call this petition what it is. These petitioners hate the idea of harmless transgender individuals simply existing in society and causing harm to absolutely no one. So with nothing but time on their hands, they have decided to make it everybody else's problem by wasting our time with baseless hypotheticals with no basis in anyone's actual lived reality. There are much more important matters for the department of Health to be addressing, such as spread of viral and bacterial diseases among the citizens as well as research and distribution of vaccines. Or even the quality of the water we all drink and the food we all eat. Pollution in the Chesapeake Bay, for example, is a problem that effects every day life for every resident in the commonwealth. From our seafood industry to the water that flows in and out of each of our homes. Yet these individuals would have us believe that transgender individuals who they have never seen or even met are a bigger concern than COVID19 and other potential life threatening illnesses for reasons that they simply made up. It is quit honestly disgraceful to the highest degree.

I would urge the department to throw out this petition and focus on concerns that have scientific backing that require attention and expertise rather than engaging with a vanity project proposed by hateful and ignorant individuals who clearly have no respect for our institutions. It is insulting that something so poorly thought out and insignificant would be treated with any amount of seriousness.
