I’m a parent in Virginia and I want my daughter to grow up in a state that values her dignity and safety. Women should not have to risk permanent injury or death in competition with males in sports. And girls should not be forced to shed their privacy to share facilities with biological males. Why should they lose out opportunities for athletic achievements because of an unfair playing field, or worse, have their bodily privacy and safety jeopardized.
These laws are a common-sense safeguard. I urge the Virginia Board of Health to approve this petition to limit female sports and spaces to biological women in the name of fairness, safety, and truth. Ignoring biological reality endangers the most vulnerable in our society. Please approve this request for rulemaking and help Virginia lead the way in protecting women’s sports and spaces by creating meaningful distinctions between male and female.
