As an optometrist, my first duties are to what is in the best interest of my patients. I feel every optometrist I know feels the same way I do. With that in mind, none of us would perform any procedure on any patient without adequate training and confidence and I feel lasers in optometry would be treated the same way. For that reason, I strongly support optometrists being allowed to use lasers.
