I support the laser regulations as proposed. Optometry education and training supports the regulation requirements of 2 proctored sessions per procedure. 12 states already include in-office laser procedures by optometrists and Virginia should be among them. More than 146,000 procedures have been performed by optometrists across the country and this is not new - it’s been happening in other states since the 90’s!
