Please support draft regulations as presented without any changes. The draft regulations were developed with input from optometrists and ophthalmologists and should be supported as presented.  Optometry education and training supports the regulation requirements of 2 proctored sessions per procedure.

12 states include in-office laser procedures by optometrists. More than 146,000 procedures have been done by optometrists across the country. These regulations will allow Virginia citizens to have more timely, cost efficient healthcare; especially in rural areas.
