I support the draft regulations as presented without any changes.  12 states already include laser privileges.   More than 146,000 cases have been performed by optometrists without problems.  Virginia has many underserved areas and this would make access easier for all.  All optometrists have to be certified in laser procedures before performing them on patients.  In addition, will have to have extensive clinical experience.
