I urge you to support these regulations as written by a the RAP (Regulatory Advisory Panel) compromised of both optometrists and ophthalmologists.  Optometrists have been trained in these procedures and in twelve states across the country laser procedures are currently performed in office by optometrists.  Again, I urge support for these regulations.
