I Strongly Support Adding Section 310: GPS Tracking collars for bear and deer hunting with dogs

I, as a landowner and lifetime hunter, that has hunted with and without dogs strongly support this bill.

As dog hunters have said repeatedly “Most dog hunters already use this technology”. This bill is good for all, it will help dog hunters find their dogs quickly for the dog’s safety. They will know where their dog is and can correct the dog if it is on property they do not own, lease or have permission to hunt. It is the beginning of accountability for the dog hunters / hunt clubs that think they have free range to hunt wherever their dogs go and use the excuse that “dogs can’t read No Trespassing signs”. With this bill and the repercussions of repeat offenders it will help curve the dog hunter vs landowner conflicts. I have hunted and have lived in the country my entire life. Not a transplant as the dog hunters would say. Many of the dog hunters that are disrupting what I have worked hard to have come from out of town, or other counties and disrupt my way of life. These dog hunters show up 7 weeks out of the year and cause havoc on the residents that live and pay taxes on the land that they are trespassing on. I do not want to see the sport of hunting with dogs go away. I just want people to respect what’s not theirs and hunt on the property that they own, lease or have permission to hunt.

Please help the dog hunters / hunt clubs control their dogs by enacting the GPS Tracking Collar Bill.
