Kratom itself, when not polluted/adulterated by other substances, or irresponsibly concentrated, is less deleterious to the body and mind than suboxone, and is also easier to eventually ween off of. If safety of constituency is truly the concern (and not the elimination of a market sector that stands to compete with major pharmaceutical corporations), then oversight of the Kratom market is truly what is called for - not finding another reason to send potential contributions to society to prison.
