I strongly support reduction of the Menhaden harvesting in the Chesapeake Bay. The current over-harvesting of this little fish is an ecological disaster that affects all life in the Bay. It has been shown that wildlife and recreational activities suffer due to the over-harvest. In addition, a 1 mile buffer zone needs to be established along the coast line to allow wading birds to nest and survive. Virginia needs to follow other states along the coast line and set an example. Unfettered Business above all is wrong!
