I wish to echo what many have expressed in these comments, we have an obligation to protect the ecosystem that resides in the Chesapeake Bay. We simply cannot allow our natural resources to be secondary to industry without reason. The impact of fish by-catch and the influence of pollution on shorebirds, birds of prey, and other marine life, is known and influences not only the ecosystem, but associated other industries and recreational uses.
