I agree that the depth/length of the purse Seine nets should be regulated so as not to damage existing sea grass beds I the Bay. The seagrass beds are critical to so many species for spawning and nourishment. Also other species such as rockfish and red drum are caught inadvertently because of the depth of the nets. Since the menhaden are found near the surface, deep nets are unnecessary.
