I have read many of the posts on this forum. It is quite remarkable the number of responses with regard to the topic. I am however, disgusted with the fact that so many individuals are willing to stake their claim in their religious beliefs enough to be willing to deny children the opportunity of a homelife. No one can legitimately deny that gay- and lesbian-headed households are any less capable of raising children than their straight counterparts.
To the regulatory agents: Please be reasonable in your decision. This debate not only deals with parent-less children, but it also involves child-less parents. The children in question have already fallen victim to a multitude of circumstances; they shoud not fall victim a second time to the actions of the body responsible for their future. You are that body, and you are not an elected body. Given this, you have a duty to do what is right. Take the opportunity to do what our elected officials are unwilling to do: take a stand. This has nothing to do with religion. This has everything to do with what is right.
I am Christian (as many of the dissenters are) and I support the ability of gays and lesbians to provide children with a safe home.
