Telehealth for Case Management

We are requesting confirmation that the Medicaid Memo:  Face-To-Face Supervisory, Services Facilitation and Case Management Visits 1/1/2023 applies to individuals receiving Developmental Disabilities services and not all Case Management types (i.e., Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, and Substance Use Disorder).  The language of the memo and the designated recipients makes this unclear.  In addition, we support the use of telehealth for some Case Management contacts, in lieu of in person services.  In the past two years, a number of individuals and families have expressed their preference for the convenience and safety of this option.  As outlined in the Telehealth Supplement, there is a need for some in-person contact; however, this need not be required for all direct case management services.
