Immunization Regulations

In Virginia, “A parent has a fundamental right to make decisions concerning the upbringing, education, and care of the parent’s child.” (§ 1-240.1).  Individuals have a fundamental human right of bodily autonomy including those of their minor children and the right to private, voluntary and informed medical decision-making without coercion or penalties for their choice whether it be consent or refusal.  The state’s role is to make healthcare available and accessible to its citizens; not to mandate any specific pharmaceutical or medical treatments.  Therefore, I am asking you to repeal the entire Chapter of “Regulations for the Immunization of School Children”If, however, you find that you are unwilling to repeal the chapter in its entirety, I implore you not to amend the chapter to include the COVID-19 vaccine.  The vaccine’s CDC approval on safety and efficacy was NOT evidence-based and is NOT routinely recommended for children.  The massive number of side-affects and deaths associated with the COVID-19 vaccine as recorded on the CDC’s VAERS website, https://wonder.cdc.gov/vaers.html, should be reason enough not to force it on innocent children.  Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
