I supposed I shouldn't be surprised at this, but I am.  This is just plain Un-American! My mother is 88 years old and takes pride in voting.  However, she suffers from arthritis and macular degeration and cannot see to sign her name and can only sign her name with great effort.  It is difficult to get her to her voting precinct and she has been voting by absentee ballot.  I would hate to think that because someone has decided that her penmanship is not up to par that her vote would not count.  This is crazy!   Instead making it more difficult for citizens to cast ballots, it should be easier.  It is her right to cast her ballot, however this can take her right away.
