At a time when voter turnout is at an all-time low, the state should be taking actions that encourage voter participation instead of taking actions that restrict it.  Eliminating votes cast by people with sloppy signatures would affect senior citizens whose penmanship often becomes more illegible with age as well as those of people who have had very little education.  I am speaking based on the handwriting of my elderly parents who received very little education and whose handwriting has always been hard to read.
