In regard to new regulations being considered by the board that would prohibit state-liensed child placing agencies from discriminating against potential foster and adoptive parents based on race, national origin, religion /political beliefs, sexual orientation disability or family status.
I believe that the best interests of the child should be the sole factor in deciding whether a child should be placed with prospective forster or adoptive parencs.
State licensed child placing agencies should not be allowed to discriminate against parents based on the criteria above.
The state board should restore the protections against such discrimination.
Sincerely,
