VA Board of Elections Should Not Enact Excessively Restrictive Voting Rules

The VA Board of Elections should not enact excessively restrictive voting rules.  E.g., they should not disqualify ballots over messy handwriting or something trivial or arbitrary as such.  Actions like this will disenfranchise people, and voting is the sacred right of all Americans of all political persuasions and parties.  Research studies have shown that such undue restrictions can disenfranchise voters on a mass scale, instead of avoiding voter fraud.  This is very important.  As citizen, we expect elections to have fair and reasonable standards which encourage voting, not discourage it.  I will be carefully watching the Board's decision to see if they act properly, i.e., in a pro-democratic way.

Thank you.
