By allowing same-sex couples to adopt children, you will effectively force Christian adoption agencies to close, because they will be slapped with "discrimination" lawsuits.  In Massechusetts, all of the Catholic agencies closed, which does a grave disservice to the children who were already in their care and needed to be sent to another agency.  Remember that people in these agencies do a lot of work that eases the burden on the taxpayer.  By that, I mean they receive donations, they have volunteers, etc.  It makes no sense economically for them to close.  Please reconsider that in tough economic times, it is unwise to close agencies that are working well for children in the most dire need as well as for the taxpayer.
