Prohibition of Private Adoption Agencies from Making Placement Decisions based on Sexual Orientation

To whom it may concern:

The issue here is whether or not Private adoption agencies have the right to make decisions based on objective moral standards--do they have the right to FREE SPEECH?  The answer is a resounding YES!  I'm certain even the government of Virginia has objective moral standards which it legislates by.

If homosexuals have the right to FREE SPEECH, and are allowed to go to any adoption agency of their choosing, then why wouldn't the Adoption agency have the same right?

This appears to be a thinly veiled attempt by the State of Virginia to obstruct the FREE speech rights of Adoption agencies with objective moral standards, i.e. those instituted and supported by various Christian denominations who openly object, as they have for centuries, to homosexual acts.

Why would the state of Virginia close down such Christian Adoption agencies, and prevent needy children from going to good homes.  Don't these children deserve good homes?  Surely the state of Virginia has not enough resources to place all of these children in good homes.  Does the State of Virginia intend to harm these innocent children by denying them access to certain adoption agencies, and making them wards of the state?  This is madness!

Allow private adoption agencies in the State of Virginia to excercise their rights to FREE SPEECH, and allow needy children to go to good homes, and have a chance to succeed.

Sincerely, A.P. Restivo
