My husband and I have 3 adopted children, who are now adults. They were adopted from Holy Family Agency, a Catholic facility in Los Angeles, which has had to close, because the California legislature passed a law forcing adoption agencies to offer children to homosexual couples. It is wrong to force people to do something contrary to their religious belief. Also, I believe children need to have a mother and a father. Life is difficult enough without being confused by having two mothers or two fathers. Women who place their babies for adoption should be free to choose the couple that they think is best for their baby. The Catholic agency in Los Angeles served many people, for decades, it was a wonderful part of our community, its loss is felt by all of us.
