I just wanted to express my opposition to the proposal to require faith based agencies such as Catholic charities to not "discriminate" adoption based on sexual orientation.  I am not someone well versed in politics and I can't make a strong written argument, but this goes against the basic understanding of my faith.  Coming from a family which has been torn apart and rendered dysfunctional by ""progressive" thinking, it is my belief that allowing same sex couples to adopt and raise a family will simply bring out greater issues and difficulties in the long run.  A "bandaid" solution of allowing same sex adoptions in the present will not benefit society in the end.
