Similar changes ended Catholic Charities adoption services in Massachusetts

In 2006 the rules were changed in Massachusetts to force private faith-based adoption services to ignore sexual-orientation when placing a child.  This was politically motivated becuase there were other adoption services which already provided adoptive services to homosexuals.  Rather than go against their beliefs Catholic Charities ended their services.  What is particularly troubling about this is that they worked mostly with the hard-to-place children and had the greatest success rates in placing those children.  Now those children have less chance of being placed becuase of a political campaign which didn't really care about the children.

Don't let a narrow politcal agenda limit the options of these children by forcing the private, fatih-based providers to either go against their beliefs or close their doors.
