It is imperative that VA remain in RGGI to continue the initial progress made since joining.  Countless Virginians are being negatively impacted by the oppressive heat and intense storms, most directly those who can least afford to deal with these impacts.  This program has a proven track record and VA cannot get further behind our neighboring jurisdictions, who have seen tremendous benefits already.  The grants already awarded are a good start, but there are so many other deserving communities in need of energy-efficient and flood-resistant affordable housing.  PLEASE continue to keep VA in this Initiative, especially for the young Virginians who will increasingly pay the price if we leave this initiative.
