Many people do not realize the enormous life-cycle costs of these policies -- also the environmental damage to farmlands and forests and to wild life.  The ugliness, the difficulty in disposal of windmills and solar equipment as not bio-degradable.  The fact most is manufactured in China, benefiting their economy and harming ours.  The fact that we cannot in the foreseeable future depend on these energy sources without becoming a poor third-world country.  Poverty is more damaging to health than a little dirt in the air, and our air is cleaner than most countries in the world.

The supporters of these policies are well-organized and funded to speak out, whereas those opposed are too busy making a living
