Strongly Opposed

As an English teacher, this policy causes unnecessary work. All major class materials that we cover is already provided to the parents at the beginning of the year. Romeo and Juliet has a sexual joke on page one, yet has never been challenged. Also, the Bible has plenty of mentions of rape, insest, violence, and beastiality, but would never be challenged. This is a thin veil to go against the LGBTQIA+ community as that appears to be the only content. Parents have every right to be involved and they already have the ability to select alternative texts for their children. This would do nothing except further emboldened those who are afraid of LGBTQIA+ to further their discrimination against them. Please don't pass this and be part of the problem.
