Commenter: A concerned CHRISTIAN Parent - Stop the child porn grooming - Abstinence

I STRONGLY SUPPORT Senate Bill 656 - it should actually be made stronger

I STRONGLY SUPPORT Senate Bill 656 - it should actually be made stronger to stop the blatant grooming of our young children by school personnel (teachers and administrators).

All too often we see several forms of child grooming being reported in the media today.  Such as the recent cases of Eric Rohman in Isabella County, Michigan, arrested in a sting operation for trying to have sex with a minor and attempting to meet minors for sexual purposes via social media.  Rohman is an employee of Mt. Pleasant Public School system, as reported by WILX News 10,

There are two basic types of sex education classes out there today, that can be taught in our government schools.  Your pre-teen or teen will either be exposed to the Comprehensive Sexuality Education (grooming curriculum ) or the Abstinence-Only-Until-Marriage curriculum (Christian views of marriage and sexuality).

These two programs represent two completely different schools of thought and family values.   I think the Senate Bill 656 should be strengthened to allow parents to have an option for their children to learn the Abstinence-Only-Until-Marriage approach to life if that better represents their family beliefs and morals.

Senate Bill 656 is a good start - but needs to go further to mandate that all schools offer families an Abstinence Only option.    When did we lose the teaching of good morals in our public schools?    This is one one reason that we need 100% school choice - letting Christian parents vote with their feet and their tax dollars.     Stop the grooming!
