STRONGLY OPPOSED

Yes, everyone wants to protect children; however, that's not what this bill seems to be about. This seems to be nothing more than a thinly veiled attack on already marginalized communities. To all of the parents screaming about their rights and pedophiles, please, do better. That's not what is happening here. This is about giving all kids equal opportunity to learn about themselves and their peers and preparing them to be an educated, informed, empathetic member of society which simply is not possible without learning perspectives they may not necessarily be exposed to at home. Such as a white cis heterosexual family household which is the overwhelming majority of supporters for this bill. As a parent, you already have the right to opt for what your child is exposed to so this is really not necessary. Furthermore, this is a huge slap in the face to folks who have dedicated their lives to studying how to best support education. Curriculum isn't randomly thrown into classrooms. Every material is chosen for a reason. This bill is headed in the opposite direction of what is needed. We need more representation and understanding around all LGBTQ. Lack of is how we got here. Supporters of this bill are literally the reason such communities are in such danger as it is. Want more for your children than your extended ignorance and increasing danger. If you truly want to protect kids, protect ALL kids, not just cisgender heterosexual ones. You may unknowingly be damaging your own children who are trans and unsafe in your home. Suicide rates are high in queer kids. Please don't contribute to more loss and suffering from your passionate ignorance. What's more, I see a lot of "woke" I sultan being thrown around here. How is it an insult to be and empathetic and caring human being? Y'all make no sense.
