I strongly oppose any bill that takes the power of what and how best to teach children out of the hands of educators and gives control to legislators and bureaucrats. There is no reason that a teacher or librarian should not be able to determine what is appropriate for their students to learn or read. If a caregiver has issue with a topic their child is learning in school, it should be addressed on an individual level, not by a wide sweeping governmental anti-LGBTQ dog whistle.
Teaching a child about consent is a GOOD thing Teaching a child that gay and trans people exist is a GOOD thing. Teaching a child to love and not be ashamed of their bodies is a GOOD thing.
KEEPING them from a nurturing and inclusive world of acceptance and love is a very, very bad thing.
