Strongly Oppose SB 656

As a lifelong resident of Virginia, I oppose this bill. Our schools are best when educators are given flexibility in the curriculums they teach and how they teach them. Not only will this bill stifle our educators, but it will also prevent students from broadening their minds to social and cultural groups that are different from their own through literature.

I went to public school in Loudoun County for K-12 and went to CNU for undergrad and can say from experience that we have some of the best schools in the country right now. But the more regulations and government interference we have, the less our students will grow and benefit along the way.
