I oppose this policy.
It is unnecessary: parents can review the curriculum and serve on advisory boards for their public school system.
The term "sexually explicit content" is a broad term that has the potential to cause confusion and fear for teachers and librarians which will limit their ability to present varied experiences and perspectives.
For the best education, our students must be exposed to different people and cultures to broaden their understanding of their community, country, and the world we live in. To build a tolerant and inclusive society where diversity is embraced and ALL are included, teachers and librarians must not be censored from using anything labeled "sexually explicit content."
