Support - Clear Communication and Collaboration

I support a bill with very clear guidelines on how to inform parents about what material their students will be reading, studying, and engaging with at school. Professional educators know that clear communication with parents is key to the success of their students. Educators are trained to include the parent in their child’s learning and partner with them. Educator equity training tells teachers to look at the child’s background and home life and incorporate that into their learning. This bill would help to further connect parents with schools and with their students’ learning while respecting unique student backgrounds.
