I oppose this because we need inclusivity within the classrooms. Contrary to many beliefs, no one is teaching content that is deemed inappropriate. The stuff taught is already censored and younger students are NOT to read content that is made for teens or adults. Teachers announce the content to be read; therefore, read the syllabus or ask!!!! They will gladly tell you information on the book or give an alternate assignment. Do not censor books, especially those for our LGBTQ students. They NEED representation and they deserve to have books they can relate to. Curriculum is available for parents to look at already, so there is no reason for parents to be surprised about what is taught. It has already been outlined, so next time, read what your teachers post.
