Sex is not an explicit act. It is a part of human nature. Censoring books containing sexually explicit material from our children would only reinforce the belief that engaging in sexual acts is something to be ashamed of instead of the natural activity that it is. We would be teaching our children to hate themselves or make them feel bad about their growing sexual curiosities, which again, is a natural part of a person’s development. 

It has also not gone unnoticed that the books that are being targeted are written by minority and queer authors. If this is an act to censor their voices, then shame on the drafters and supporters of this act. To target a highly vulnerable population by marginalizing them and putting a duck tape over their voices so easily—it is inhumane and un-Christian-like. It is exactly the opposite of what Jesus Christ would do.

So I plead with you—please rebuke this bill if you have any ounce of heart or if I must bring up religion, you want to get any chance to get into heaven. Because it is anti-Christ-like. Thank you.
