Model Policies for Sexually Explicit Materials

I support these critically important model policies in order to protect children from inappropriate sexual content at school.  It is becoming more evident that protecting our children is no longer a priority in our public schools and it IS the right and responsibility of parents to do so!  Parents know and understand the psyche of their children better than anyone and it is NOT the right or business of the government to usurp their authority.

I am concerned that unless certain minimum standards are expressly mandated (as opposed to providing examples or suggestions), the spin doctors will find ways around what they consider to be mere guidelines and more schools find themselves in litigation.
