Strongly Opposed

As a classroom educator in the state of Virginia, it is important that we do not silence the voices of authors and narratives of those who represent our diverse and marginalized student population. Teaching our students to respect and value peers who are different from them is impossible if the resources we offer to our students don’t also do the same. Please consider the positive impact of these resources, and allow parents to have mature and productive conversations with their children at home regarding the materials their students have access to at school. Parents can limit resource options at home, but allow students and teachers to have access to equitable and diverse resources while at school.
