I am a parent of two elementary school children in VA. I am vehemently opposed to this harmful bill which cuts children off from important topics and books on race, cultures, gender identities and historical facts. This is an oppressive bill designed to erase the very children and young adults that need these topics covered most. LGBTQ+ children exist all over Virginia!! They are not going anywhere. This bill gives certain oppressive and extremely bigoted parents way too much authority over the state’s education.
