Mobile crisis initiating services
  • Manual notes “The provider must engage with the DBHDS crisis call center and crisis data platform prior to initiating services”


    • Considerations: is not know if a mobile crisis service is needed until assessing the individual. 
    • Engaging the call center and data platform first can slow down response time when someone is in crisis.
    • It is contradictory to the statement “At the start of services, a LMHP, LMHP-R, LMHP-RP or LMHP-S must conduct an assessment to determine the individual’s appropriateness for the service.”


Recommend allowing “within one business day” to enter information into the data platform and connect with crisis call center for calls not originating from the call center . This similar to the manual statement “Providers must submit a registration to the individual’s MCO or FFS contractor within one business day of admission.”
