Subject: Add-On Endorsement for Economic and Personal Finance

Nothing is more important than equipping Virginian students with the necessary skills to be successful in life. Virginia Works is dedicated to building a more free, more prosperous Virginia. As a nonpartisan nonprofit organization, our mission remains clear: empower Virginians by educating them on the policy choices that make Virginia strong. A core component of that strength comes from knowledge. Knowledge is like a flower in a garden - it requires constant nurturing and the proper environment in order to bloom. Having a plan and the right tools are critical to creating that nurturing environment.

A student's ability to thrive and bloom comes from strong educational policies such as required courses in economics and personal finance (EPF). EPF serves as the foundation for financial success and an enhanced ability to participate and thrive in modern society. Students deserve to have teachers well-versed, trained, and sufficiently qualified in EPF to position them for their best chance at a successful future.

Virginia Works supports and encourages the Add-On Endorsement for EPF and is hopeful to see more policies developed like this to better equip students with financial skills.
