Please move forward with the plan as established under former governor Northam. Having taught middle school aged children for seven years, I have seen how critical it is to introduce children to lived experiences beyond their own. Without this kind of education, the critical thinking skills and empathy needed to become supportive members of a community will be harder to instill, and may escape some people all together.
