I support the proposed regulation to allow concealed carry of firearms in State Forests, BUT it should also include lawful open carry.  Then Attorney General Bob McDonnell published his official opinion that State Parks and other such state agencies did not have the power to ban openly carried handguns.  I agree and want open carry to be legal in State Forests (as well as State Parks and DGIF lands) in order to comply with the Commonwealth's preemption law regarding public lands.
