All of the folks submitting comments that vaccine mandates are a violation of their "personal" or "medical" freedom lack a baseline understanding of our nation's history and laws. The Supreme Court held that mandatory vaccination laws were a permissible, constitutional exercise of a state's power to enact regulations to benefit public health in Jacobson v. Massachusetts, which was decided in 1905. In a 1922 case called Zucht v. King, the Court upheld a school system's refusal to enroll a student who didn't receive a required vaccination. From a legal standpoint, this issue isn't remotely controversial. It's been settled law for a century or more.
You may not like it, but one of the features of an ordered, free, modern society is the ability of a government authority to dictate rules about public health. No conception of "freedom" established in this country's laws and mores holds otherwise, only the ill-conceived notions held by the anti-mandate crowd and its enablers and mouthpieces. When making this decision, please follow the law, rely on the science, and don't listen to those who don't know what they're talking about.
