Opposed to Mandated Vaccines

I agree that we are far past the time that children should be masked, isolated from school, and deprived of the necessary social contact for their emotional and spiritual growth.

There is no medical emergency. The number of deaths from COVID have dropped dramatically, likely due to natural immunity, and the risk of death for healthy individuals under age 50 is minimal. At the peak of the pandemic, the number of deaths, even with inflated numbers, was no worse than years of severe influenza. This of itself is evidence that mandated COVID vaccines are unnecessary.

Healthy people do not spread disease. People are not "sick until proven well" but healthy until proven ill. Physicians and healthcare workers are the only ones licensed to make scientific determinations regarding the health and disease of individuals.

Children 17 years and younger have less than 0.0001% chance of death from COVID. The potential harms from mRNA/DNA vaccines (myocarditis, neurologic injury, and other injuries documented in VAERS) outweigh the benefits in children by 6 to 1.

"Constant disruptions...possible infections and mandatory quarantines" are not solved with mandatory COVID vaccination, since these vaccines do not stop transmission or infection of SARS CoV2. These disturbances to education are not the result of COVID but of misplaced government policies that are not law.

SARS CoV2 variants are effectively subverting vaccine-induced antibodies, resulting in breakthrough infections. Vaccinating "during" outbreaks only increases evolutionary pressure for viruses to evade the immune system and become more infectious, as we have seen during this pandemic.

Vaccine mandates violate civil rights and personal bodily sovereignty.  Freedom of religion and freedom from bodily harm are basic tenants of American society.

Medical informed consent requires that every person considering therapy or intervention be informed of the personal risks and benefits, and retain the right of refusal without coercion, discrimination or retribution. Loss of one's education, job or profession is severe retribution for declining. The punishment does not fit the "crime".

COVID vaccines are still in Phase III trials that end in 2023. Studies to evaluate the safety and efficacy (especially in children!) are ongoing, which indicates that this information remains unknown.

Natural immunity is more robust and long lasting than the COVID vaccine. Children's immune systems require training by exposure to pathogens to develop properly. It is impossible to protect entire populations from infectious disease. There will always be some who are more or less susceptible- and those individuals should adopt more precautious measures.
