My children have all had COVID, therefore have antibodies. Since the beginning of the pandemic, individuals under age 20 have been the least hospitalized & affected by the virus, according to the Virginia Department of Health website (1123 as of today https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/coronavirus/covid-19-in-virginia/covid-19-in-virginia-demographics/).
Since the CDC states that vaccinated people can still spread the virus, the mindset that getting vaccinated makes others around them safer is flawed. Therefore, it should be a personal choice whether or not someone receives the COVID vaccination, & there should not be any punitive actions for those who don't.
Finally, the vaccination isn't even a year old, & there is no understanding of the long-term side effects, simply a hypothesis. No one, especially a juvenile should be forced to receive this vaccination.
