There should not be a vaccine mandate for kids for a shot that 1) doesn't prevent infection 2) doesn't stop transmission. These vaccines are therapeutics and - while they serve a purpose - they are not similar to other vaccines that are required for school that actually prevent infection. Additionally, kids are at such a small risk for serious COVID this whole campaign makes no sense. The religious exemption should ABSOLUTELY remain in place. COVID should not upend the vaccine exemptions that have been in place for decades. Pills to treat COVID are now in the final approval stage - we are close to having real treatments should someone get infected. All of this will be unnecessary in a matter of months.
