Please add the Sars-Cov2 (Covid-19) vaccine to the list of required vaccines for school attendance for students and teachers, after it is fully approved by the FDA. Covid-19 is a deadly disease, highly contagious, and has killed over 700,000 Americans including many children. Those who do not die from Covid-19 can require hospitalization or have long-term health consequences, some of which we may not even know about yet. Children who get a mild case of covid-19 today might have lung or heart damage that might not become apparent until later. Beyond the obvious of saving lives and hospitalizations, requiring vaccination will reduce the number of mild cases too, so that fewer children and teachers will need to miss school. I don't know why this is even debatable. We require vaccines for other contagious illnesses like measles, whooping cough, etc, for the protection of our children, teachers, staff, and the whole community. Vaccines save lives. We owe it to each other to protect each other.
