the vaccine mandate arises from three core issues: 1) It offers a massive payout to pharmaceutical companies, 2) It maintains the fear-based Covid narrative, 3) It enables the consolidation of power at the top. It is not about citizens’ health in the least.
Three central observations support this claim. First, early in the pandemic, scientists quickly realized that the elderly and those with underlying conditions like obesity were most susceptible to severe reactions or death. None of the public health responses reacted to this reality. Rather than pinpoint the most at-risk populations for protection, scientifically-bereft and morally-dubious mandates were enacted that shut down entire economies, locked everyone up, and most egregiously, sent infected elderly patients back to institutions that could neither treat them nor keep other residents safe. When something like 40% of all Covid deaths have come from .5% of the population, that should be a clear indicator that we are being misled and mismanaged. If the government truly cared about saving lives, it would have initiated common-sense policies from the onset of the pandemic that shielded these vulnerable populations.
Relatedly, the public health response to two different citizen protests outed the medical establishment as fraudulent from the beginning. The spring of 2020 witnessed dozens of back-to-work protests. They were primarily white, conservative-leaning Americans whose actions were labeled as super spreader events. Contrast that to the rest of the summer of 2020, which endured nightly BLM riots under the guise of ending systemic racism. Despite a loud outcry for the former forms of protest, there was hardly a peep from the same talking heads about spreading Covid for the latter. To the contrary, even doctors said that racism was as much a public health crisis as Covid and demanded our action. Public health, indeed.
Second, there have been – and with each passing day are always more – preventative regimens and treatment plans available to Covid patients. President Trump name-dropped hydroxychloroquine early in the course of the pandemic. It was experimental at the time, but under the work of doctors like Vladimir Zelenko, it was used in conjunction with zinc, vitamin D, and an antibiotic. At the very least, it is an old generic that has a track record of safe use. It certainly couldn’t have made the pandemic worse or been worse than ventilating frail patients. Likewise, President Trump was later treated with monoclonal antibodies (like Joe Rogan) during his bout with Covid. Though hardly a figure of health and fitness, Trump recovered in a matter of days.
Nothing shouts “lack of real concern” than the concerted effort to minimize and demonize Ivermectin. Again, as with other treatments, there is evidence it works when used early in infection and also has a proven safety record. In fact, there is a lot of anecdotal and clinical data of its efficacy. But even if it didn’t work 100% of the time, is that worse than the vaccine? Not only does the vaccine fail to deliver lasting protection, there are objective risks in taking it. If Joe Biden and the Democrats truly cared about us, the government should have been handing out Ivermectin kits like in other countries. $2 per person, multiplied bu 330 million people is a hell of a lot cheaper than myriad rounds of stimulus checks and trillion-dollar bailouts.
It cannot be overstated that the refusal to acknowledge the capabilities of cheap and/or alternative treatments was done wholly to enable the Emergency Use Authorization of experimental vaccines. If the FDA, CDC, or others allowed themselves to admit that such treatments were already available, it would have been illegal for them to otherwise authorize the novel and historically unsuccessful (and dangerous) mRNA vaccines. Had the government’s position been that it would throw the kitchen sink at Covid – which should have been the only response if Covid were as awful as they claimed it to be – then we could believe that it desired to save lives. Instead, the government narrowly waited for and now focusing only on vaccination.
Forgetting HCQ and IVT for a moment, even natural immunity isn’t discussed. The World Health Organization even wrote the whole concept out of its dictionary. I feel quite safe having had Covid, recovered, and developed antibodies. Joe Biden should, too. Paradoxically, however, he would prefer not to discuss it and instead inject a substance with unknown short- and long-term side effects.
Third, there have been too many instances of the government gladly ignoring real science or actual pandemics to believe in the slightest they are concerned about health. One of the most obvious and widespread examples is the adoption of the food pyramid in the 1970s. With generations of Americans growing up under the impression their diet should consist primarily of grains while also believing fats are inherently bad (basically, the opposite of what’s true), we can directly attribute our current crisis of chronic illnesses to the lies of “food science” from decades past. Heart disease, diabetes, and mental health, along with other debilitating and fatal maladies, are not avoidable entirely but their presence can surely be mitigated. Where is the outrage over fast foods? Sodas, fruit juices, and other sugary beverages? Entire processed food industries have cropped up that make mealtime a breeze; unfortunately, they also make proper diet impossible. Ironically, the very predispositions that make some people more vulnerable to Covid than others stems from the government’s acceptance of Big Ag and other lobbyists’ campaign contributions. Had all Americans eaten a healthier diet, Covid wouldn’t even be nearly as dire.

But that measure is grossly inflated because hospitals test every patient and are required to report any positive result, even if the patient has no symptoms. The result, as a surprisingly honest article in the Atlantic points out, is that “the overall tallies of COVID hospitalizations, made available on various state and federal dashboards and widely reported on by the media, do not differentiate based on severity of illness.”
The article points to new a new study by researchers the VA Boston Healthcare System and Tufts University, which tried to understand the severity of these hospital visits by looking at electronic records data from Veterans Affairs hospitals across the country. That way they could see which COVID patients needed supplemental oxygen or whose blood oxygen level went below 94%, which are indicators of a severe COVID case.

They found that last year, as COVID was emerging and before there were any vaccines, nearly two-thirds of those who tested positive in hospitals for COVID had severe symptoms. But this year, only about half did. The rest either had been admitted for other reasons or had a mild case of the disease.
And that’s not just because more of those admitted this year have been vaccinated. The researchers found that unvaccinated patients also had milder symptoms overall this year than last.
One of the study’s authors said this “may be explained by the fact that unvaccinated patients in the vaccine era tend to be a younger cohort who are less vulnerable to COVID and may be more likely to have been infected in the past.”
This isn’t the first study to conclude that hospitalization numbers were off the mark. Two research papers published in May concluded that COVID hospitalization rates for children were inflated by at least 40% for the same reason – many had mild cases or had been admitted to the hospital for unrelated health problems.

The president is saying explicitly that kids in unmasked environments are unsafe. That would mean every student in Arizona, Utah, Oklahoma, Iowa, Tennessee, and Georgia, for starters, plus most in "the U.K., Ireland, all of Scandinavia, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Italy." Aside from the factual unlikelihood, what kind of message does that convey to parents nervous about sending their kids back into school buildings?
There is something extra rich about Biden and Cardona accusing Republicans of elevating political concerns over the well-being of kids. One of the main reasons why certain Democratic-run school districts, cities, states, and now the federal government have enacted some of the world's most restrictive and inflexible school-reopening policies is that A) teachers unions have far more clout in the United States than, say, France, and B) those same teachers unions overwhelmingly have pull with Democratic politicians, who are recipients of 94 percent of their political donations.
And Biden's CDC in particular has repeatedly allowed teachers unions to influence what are supposedly scientific recommendations about masking and reopening requirements. As usual, when a politician says something like "We've got to come together," what he really means is "You've got to agree with my contestable policies, which I've arrived at by the usual unholy alliances with interest groups."

Old Man Biden gave a gloomy, and head-scratching speech yesterday that lurched from praising vaccine effectiveness:
"as the science makes clear, if you’re fully vaccinated, you’re highly protected from severe illness, even if you get COVID-19.... You’re as safe as possible."
To calling for widespread coercion (he wants to make every private employer in America with more than 100 employees test every unvaccinated employee weekly and force every company with a federal contract to require workers to be vaccinated) because:
"We’re going to protect vaccinated workers from unvaccinated co-workers."
Excuse us? The "vaccinated workers" are already protected — by the vaccine. The data show less than 2000 COVID deaths among more than 173 million vaccinated Americans.
He also called for third shots and vaccinating young children as soon as the FDA gives him the green light — just a week after the two top FDA officials resigned, reportedly due to his political interference.
Talk about a mixed message: you should take the vaccine because it is highly effective, but you are still at great risk of contracting COVID. So why get vaccinated?
We strongly agree with his “get vaccinated” appeal.
But could there be a worse and less trustworthy messenger? Let’s not forget that when he was running for president, Biden said he “wouldn’t trust” the Trump vaccine. Vice President Kamala Harris said pretty much the same thing. So is it any surprise that Americans are skeptical of what the politicians say?
It would have helped his appeal to Republican voters if he had acknowledged that it was Trump’s Operation Warp speed that gave us this miraculous vaccine in the first place. Instead, you would have thought that Biden invented it with all his self-congratulatory braggadocios.

Tim Carney of the Washington Examiner notes ironically that “this is the same Jimmy Kimmel who used to insist that healthcare is a right.” There is a growing herd of intellectual snobs on the left, who really do believe that the white hillbilly Trump supporters – the deplorables – are culturally inferior. If they resist taking vaccines they are stupid, retrograde, and beyond saving. As Carney puts it: “The standard media approach of mocking vaccine-resistant or COVID-skeptical people who die of COVID is not really an effort to persuade people to get vaccinated.” It’s to disparage them.

We lost 30% of our RN staff because of mandatory vaccines this week. These nurses worked for the last year with Covid-19 patients and used PPE and did not get COVID. I am sorry but this is a KICK in the teeth to nurses that have been busting butt. If they have proven that PPE and careful infection control practices prevented them from getting Covid it should be their choice of getting the vaccine or not.

At the same time the academics admit, almost in a puzzled fashion, that these “anti-maskers” do their investigations in a very scientific manner. “Indeed,” the paper claims, “anti-maskers often reveal themselves to be more sophisticated in their understanding of how scientific knowledge is socially constructed than their ideological adversaries, who espouse naive realism about the ‘objective’ truth of public health data.”
The MIT academics go on to admit that those opposed to masks are not afraid to get down and dirty in looking at statistics, nor are they afraid to increasingly question the media and government authorities, a trait MIT researchers call “a weaponization of critical thinking.” Even more surprising is the revelation that anti-maskers’ “approach to the pandemic is grounded in a more scientific rigor, not less.”

Fully 80 percent of deaths have occurred among people over 65 and just 358 children under the age of 17 had died of the disease as of July 29, 2021. We are not talking about smallpox, which affected all populations and had a fatality rate of 30 percent. COVID, argues Singer, "will not be eradicated" and will become a small-scale, endemic problem that should be minimized by targeted interventions to protect the most vulnerable. From a public health perspective, it should not become the casus belli for a radical restructuring of society and a massive expansion of presidential (or governmental) powers.
