To Whom It May Concern,
I am a private school teacher who taught all of last year in Fairfax County without issue. The reason schools did not happen was because of the school boards, against the recommendations of the AAP and other organizations, fought in person learning. Additionally, COVID has only killed 145 children in the USA--fewer than the flu each year. The long term issues and trials have not been performed for this vaccine and it should be an optional annual shot, like the flu. It is not the state's job to mandate such a thing due to ever changing politics. If this happens, you will see lawsuits, if you don't even abide by religious exemptions, as well as many teachers resign (in a time of teacher shortage) and students switch to homeschooling and other options--over 3 million additional students are homeschooling this year across the nation. It is the public school system and teacher's unions who have failed students, plain and simple, and our freedoms and constitutional rights will not be trampled for an agenda or because of fear.
